2. INSTALLATION OF THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER (Figure 401)
A. Tools and consumable materials None
B. Procedure
1) Inspect bracket assy (2) and straps (3) for condition.
2) Inspect fire extinguisher (1) for condition and service life.
3) Position fire extinguisher (1) on bracket assy (2), with the pressure gage visible and directed towards the exterior of the aircraft.
4) Position fire extinguisher (1) into bracket assy (2).
5) Fasten straps (3) with "VELCRO" tapes.
6) Make sure straps (3) hold fire extinguisher (1) in position when they are fastened.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER
INSPECTION / CHECK
1. CHECK OF THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER
A. Tools and consumable materials
- Scale 0-10 lbs (0-5 kg)
B. Procedure
1) Remove the fire extinguisher - refer to Page 401.
2) Make sure lead seal is present and inspect it for condition.
3) Inspect the fire extinguisher outer skin for condition.
4) Inspect spraying hole for cleanliness.
5) Check cylinder pressure. Pressure gage pointer must be within the green range.
6) Weigh the fire extinguisher without its bracket assy.
NOTE 1 : The total weight of the fire extinguisher is indicated on the fire extinguisher body.
NOTE 2 : AREOFEU AFT15 fire extinguisher must be weighed by the manufacturer.
7) If weight is out of tolerance, replace the fire extinguisher.
8) Install the fire extinguisher - refer to Page 401.
