Rinse the latter with cleaning agent (TB 11-003) and dry it. 3) Position cooler on engine bulkhead (11) and secure it with the four threaded rods (6), washers (7), spacers (10) and new nuts (5). 4) If removed, install unions (2). a) Clean and degrease unions (2) and coat the thread with loctite (TB 09-906). b) Position unions (2) on cooler (1), hand-tighten up to contact. c) Hold ends (9) using a thin spanner and tighten unions (2). 5) If removed, install elbows (3). a) Lubricate elbows (3) threads with oil (TB 03-902). b) Position elbows (3) on cooler (1), hand-tighten up to contact. c) Hold unions (2) using a thin spanner and tighten elbows (3). NOTE : The elbows (3) are directed horizontally. 6) Hold elbows (3) using a thin spanner to avoid any distortion of cooler (1) fins - see Details A and B, when tightening hoses (4) and (8) on elbows. Torque - refer to 20-00-01. 7) Mark ends (9), unions (2), elbows (3) and hoses (4) and (8) with a red paint line. 8) Install the engine cowlings - refer to 71-10-01. 9) Fill the oil system - refer to 12-12-01. 10) Check for leaks. 3.
